Did not work after 2 months and over a year of fighting and fighting with no offer of refund or fixing or a replacement and stilll denied that for over a year will never deal with this company or brand ever again worst product and customer service I have ever dealt with in my life

Bought my igen4500dfc from crossfire back in April 2023 in preparation for a north Ontario deep bush fishing trip with a new travel trailer. Crossfire folks were great, found and supplied a battery charger that had gone missing in shipping. Immediately read the manual and converted to synthetic oil. Did all the recommended prep work and the unit started right up after about 5 tries. Tested unit a few times before the trip. It had to work flawlessly, deep bush no cell communication, no civilization for about 75 km. All pretrip tests went well….no issues. 2 days into trip, machine quits, will not start! I forgot to bring manual with me! Panic Satelite phone calls to family , check online for possible reasons and solutions. Vaguely recall seeing a video about faulty carburetor connections from factory. I removed the service panel on the side of the unit and was dumbfounded with what I found! The spark plug wire was completely detached from the spark plug ! Obviously it had never been properly fastened to the spark plug right from the factory. It would take catastrophic impact for it to become “accidentally “ detached. Constant running and vibration caused it to FALL OFF! I reconnected the plug wire and the unit started right up! Panic over! Point of the story, check your unit over carefully, even for the obvious. The unit continued to provide power for a fully outfitted camper trailer without any further issues for 17 days straight. The remote control is a fantastic feature and I didn’t have any of the issues some have had with dead batteries when leaving the power switch on for the remote. I bought this unit , an inverter generator, for its low decibel claims……. I have my doubts about the factory claims. I also have a Champion 4000/3000 tradition generator that when running under comparable loads, sounds just as quiet as this new Westinghouse. A bit disappointing. All in all I am pleased with the unit and would recommend it, but remember to
Check it over thoroughly before relying on it! Don’t trust that the ‘quality control’ inspection in Vietnam or China was done properly!!t
Ps. Don’t rely on manufacturers assistance! During my panic, family placed an EMERGENCY email through the web site…..I was back home 2 weeks when the “ can we help you?” Email was received!

Very quick delivery. The generator is really quiet and nice. Like the duel fuel option to use propane. Got an additional discount (5%) on listed price

Received my generator and did the oil fill and added the propane tank to it…. This generator started on the first try and is very quiet but with no load yet. Will do a load test a little later but so far I’m impressed .
I saw also what people are saying about the oil change not being very convenient to do. I ordered a drain adapter plug to add to it and I’ll see how that works.
