Jupiter A rods are engineered for maintenance welders needing strong, sound welds on dirty, oil-soaked, or unknown cast iron materials. Whether you're restoring a cracked machine base or patching ductile iron without a full teardown, Jupiter A delivers nonporous, ductile results with no special prep.
Perfect for cast iron-to-steel joints or in-place repairs, Jupiter A ensures downtime stays minimal and welds stay strong.

Welding Instructions
- Remove cracks and stop drill ends
 - Use medium arc and apply stringer beads
 - Skip weld to prevent excessive heat buildup
 - Light peening between passes recommended
 - Preheat critical or heavy parts to 500ºF (260ºC)
 - Cool parts slowly after welding
