The ESAB Rustler EM 280 PRO is a professional compact MIG/MAG and flux-cored welding inverter designed for industrial and general fabrication, structural steel, repair and maintenance, steel erection, steel cutting centers and agricultural equipment applications.

The machine operates from 208V or 230V single-phase input power and delivers a 30–280 amp welding output range. On 230V input, the Rustler EM 280 PRO is rated at 280 amps at 28 volts with a 25% duty cycle, 234 amps at 25.7 volts with a 40% duty cycle, 200 amps at 24 volts with a 60% duty cycle and 155 amps at 21.75 volts at 100% duty cycle.

Built-in welding programs are optimized for carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, silicon bronze and flux-cored wire. A four-wheel industrial wire drive provides consistent wire feeding, while the digital interface offers trigger control, arc dynamics and other weld adjustments.

The Rustler EM 280 PRO is spool-gun ready for aluminum welding and accepts wire spools up to 12 inches. Energy Save Mode reduces power consumption after two minutes of inactivity, while an inspection window, illuminated spool compartment, torch holder and cable management support day-to-day shop use.

The 0700401201 package includes the Rustler EM 280 PRO power source mounted on a trolley with low-entry cylinder rack, Spray Master 250 MIG torch, 300A work lead and clamp, Victor flow gauge, gas hose, drive rolls, gun hanger, cable hanger and instruction manual.
