The Lincoln Electric Ranger 260MPX is a compact engine-driven multiprocess welder/generator designed for construction, maintenance and repair, and service-truck applications. Stock number K3458-1 combines 260-amp DC welding performance with clean auxiliary generator power in a compact, jobsite-focused package.

The Ranger 260MPX supports Stick, MIG, TIG and flux-cored welding. Lincoln Electric rates both DC constant-current and DC constant-voltage output at 260 amps at 26 volts at 100% duty cycle. Touch-start TIG is also rated at 260 amps at 26 volts at 100% duty cycle.

Generator output is rated at 10,000 watts peak and 9,500 watts continuous, with 60 Hz single-phase AC power. Lincoln specifies less than 5% total harmonic distortion, allowing the generator to operate a range of jobsite tools as well as sensitive electronic equipment.

The digital user interface uses simple push-and-turn controls and includes Ready.Set.Weld technology to recommend welding parameters based on process, electrode type, electrode diameter, plate thickness and polarity. Chopper Technology helps deliver easy starts, a smooth arc and low spatter.

CrossLinc technology allows compatible wire feeders and remotes to communicate voltage or current settings through the weld cable, reducing control-cable clutter and unnecessary movement around the jobsite. A direct 7-pin connection supports the optional Magnum PRO 250LX GT spool gun without an additional adapter.

The Ranger 260MPX is powered by a Kohler Command CH730 two-cylinder, four-cycle, air-cooled gasoline engine rated at a minimum 23.5 hp at 3,600 rpm. Fuel capacity is 11 gallons. The unit measures 26 x 20 x 36 in. and weighs 446 lb.
