ER5356 is a 5% magnesium aluminum filler metal, designed for MIG and TIG welding applications. Available in both spools and cut lengths, it features higher levels of magnesium (Mg), titanium (Ti), and manganese (Mn), along with added chromium and reduced silicon. These enhancements significantly improve corrosion resistance, making ER5356 the preferred choice for welding aluminum exposed to saltwater or marine environments.

Recommended for use with 5050, 5052, 5083, 5356, 5454, and 5456 alloys, ER5356 is the second most widely used aluminum filler metal in the industry.
