The Lincoln Electric Flextec 500X is a heavy-duty multiprocess welding power source designed for fabrication, shipbuilding and construction. Stock number K3607-1 is the standard North American Flextec 500X power source with 380/460/575V three-phase input.

The Flextec 500X supports Stick, DC TIG, MIG, pulsed MIG, flux-cored welding and air carbon arc gouging. Output ranges from 5–500 amps, with rated performance of 500 amps at 40 volts at 60% duty cycle and 450 amps at 38 volts at 100% duty cycle.

CrossLinc technology allows compatible feeders and remotes to adjust voltage or current at the arc through the weld cable, eliminating the need for a separate control cable. True Voltage Technology compensates for voltage drop across long welding leads to help maintain the selected welding parameters at the arc.

For pulse applications, the Flextec 500X includes standard pulse MIG capability and supports synergic pulse modes when connected to an ArcLink-enabled Power Feed wire feeder. Welding modes are available for carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and metal-cored electrodes.

The rugged IP23-rated enclosure, Desert Duty rating for operation up to 55°C, trayed and potted PC boards, and compatibility with across-the-arc, CrossLinc, 14-pin analog and 5-pin digital wire feeders make the Flextec 500X suitable for demanding shop and field use.
