The Lincoln Electric Flextec 650X is a heavy-duty multiprocess welding power source designed for construction, shipbuilding and fabrication. Stock number K3425-1 is the base model with 380/460/575V three-phase, 50/60 Hz input.

The Flextec 650X provides a 10–815 amp output range and is rated at 750 amps at 44 volts at 60% duty cycle and 650 amps at 44 volts at 100% duty cycle. Its broad output range supports large-diameter wire and electrode applications as well as lower-amperage DC welding work.

Supported processes include Stick, DC TIG, MIG, flux-cored, submerged arc and air carbon arc gouging. Lincoln Electric rates the machine for gouging with carbon electrodes up to 1/2 in.

CrossLinc technology allows compatible feeders and remotes to control voltage or current directly at the arc through the weld cable, eliminating the need for a separate control cable. True Voltage Technology compensates for voltage drop over long welding leads to help maintain the selected voltage at the arc.

The Flextec 650X supports a broad range of feeder interfaces including across-the-arc feeders, 14-pin analog feeders, CrossLinc-enabled feeders and ArcLink digital feeders. A 115VAC duplex receptacle supplies auxiliary power for tools, lights and accessories.

The rugged enclosure is IP23 rated for outdoor use and is Desert Duty rated for operation in ambient temperatures up to 55°C. Stock number K3425-1 is the power-source-only base model; feeders, guns, remote controls, running gear and submerged-arc equipment are selected separately.
