TECNA

TECNA TE7902 HVAC & Sheet Metal Spot Weld Gun – 2.5 kVA

  • HVAC fit: small duct shops, field-oriented sheet-metal work and intermittent fitting fabrication
  • Typical work: spin-in collars, small fittings, brackets, plenums and light overlapping sheet assemblies
  • Portable setup: no compressed air or water cooling required
  • Process fit: best where both sides of the overlap can be reached by the electrodes
  • Published mild-steel capacity: up to 2 + 2 mm; coated or galvanized sheet should be test-welded on the actual gauge/coating

Description

HVAC Quick Fit — TECNA TE7902

The TE7902 is the entry point in the Crossfire HVAC spot-welding lineup. It is best suited to smaller HVAC and sheet-metal shops that need a simple portable resistance spot welder for intermittent production without adding compressed air or a water-cooling circuit.

Good fit for
Spin-in collars, small duct fittings, brackets, plenums, sheet-metal housings and light overlapping assemblies.

Why choose it
Compact manual operation, 2.5 kVA output, broad arm selection and no air or water requirement.

Move up when
You need a higher operating rate, water cooling, pneumatic clamping or a fixed production station.

HVAC application note

Resistance spot welding is useful where two overlapping sheets can be clamped between electrodes. It is not a replacement for a continuous airtight seam. For galvanized duct material, confirm weld settings and electrode maintenance on the actual coating and gauge before production.

HVAC / duct fabrication focus

Where this TECNA model fits in an HVAC shop

Portable / intermittent HVAC work

Small shops, custom fittings, collars and light sheet-metal assemblies. Resistance spot welding is strongest where overlapping sheet can be clamped from both sides and the joint only needs discrete welds rather than a continuous airtight seam.

Why this modelNo compressed air or water cooling required
Shop servicesSingle-phase power; simplest installation in the lineup
Galvanized sheetValidate the actual coating, gauge, weld schedule and electrode maintenance before production.
Spot welding is not always the correct duct process. Use it for discrete overlap joints, collars, brackets, fittings, housings and similar assemblies. If the joint requires a continuous airtight seam, evaluate seam/stitch welding or another approved duct-joining method instead.

HVAC Spot Welder Fit Check

Send the duct-shop application. We’ll narrow the machine.

You do not need to know the TECNA model. Gauge, material, part type, access, weld rate and available shop services are more useful than guessing at kVA.

Useful example:
24–26 ga galvanized • spin-in collars + square-to-round fittings • 50–100 welds/day • portable preferred • 230 V available • no water loop.
